You can learn all about the trilobite arthropods that used to roam the East Kootenay 500 million years ago, try rock breaking and see if you can identify the fossils you find! The Paleontology Home Kit provides you with all the tools that you need to see if you have what it takes to be a real paleontologist.

The kits are available for 3 day rentals. Each rental is $4.50 and you can keep whatever fossils you discover!

You can rent up to 10 kits at a time. They’re perfect for a small birthday party or get-together for kids who love fossils!

Want to rent a kit?

Call ahead make sure we have Paleontology Home Kits available to rent at 250-489-3918 before coming in to pick up a kit.

Rentals are made on a first come, first serve basis.

If you call ahead, we can set the Paleontology Home Kits aside for you for 24 hours so that you can come by to pick them up.

If all the kits are rented, we can take your phone number and will call you once the next kit is available. Thank you for understanding.
