School Programs at the Centre

The Cranbrook History Centre offers programs for classes from  K-12, as well as trips for home school groups.

At the Centre, we are pleased to offer two types of museum-based education programs.

  1. Self-Guided Visits
We provide instructions and activities that teachers can download and bring with you to the museum.
  2. Museum Educator led activities
We lead hands-on experiences that delve into our collection and the way it relates to each grade’s curricular competencies and Big Ideas.

Please refer to the list of programs below to see what is currently available at the Centre.

We are currently developing programs to suit elementary grade levels in sciences, social studies, and math core competencies, which will be released as they are deemed ready for classroom use.

For the currently available programs, we are adapting our education programs to best suit the current public health protocols.

If you would like to learn more about these adaptations and what a COVID-field trip could look like for your class, please contact Nathalie, our Programming Coordinator at [email protected] or phone us at 250-489-3918 for details.
