Our panelists will have a conversation about operating their organizations out of heritage buildings- Why they do it, what value it brings them and our communities, and the challenges they face in doing so.
UBC Professor, Ayaka Yoshimizu, will share her research on the transpacific underground as it relates to the Japanese Canadian Community living in Cranbrook in the early 20th century. Her presentation will dive into the underground economy that many of the women living in Cranbrook were a part of.
