Winter Day Camp – New Years Music and Dance

This day camp looks at the New Year festival, and how many cultures worldwide celebrate the beginning of the new year. Such festivals are among the oldest and the most universally observed. See how the Ktunaxa celebrated the solstice and how modern New Years traditions came to be.
Much of how we celebrate this Holiday is through Music and Dance. Music and Dance is essential for child development. It enhances memory, pattern recognition, language skills and creativity. Music and movement activities also improve motor skills, coordination and self-expression! So put on your dancing shoes, warm up that voice and let’s ring in the New Year together!
