Are you interested in Paleontology, but never had the chance to learn about the topic? Do you want a chance to get up-close with the private collections of local paleontologists? Are you looking to meet like-minded individuals in a fun learning environment?
If so, be sure to join the Cranbrook History Centre on Tuesday, September 14th between 7:00 – 10:00pm MT for our 2021 Paleontology Lecture and Reception.
The reception will feature:

- A Recognition Ceremony for local paleontologist, Côme Plourde, whose discoveries have had a huge impact on paleontology in our region.
- “Introduction to Paleontology in the Columbia Basin“. A lecture by featured paleontologist, Guy Santucci. He will speak to the amazing specimens that can be found locally in the Columbia Basin, and share what it’s really like to delve into amateur paleontology.
- A Catered Reception featuring pastries made by local business, Hot Shots, and a cash bar.
- Private Fossil Collections on Display, with a chance to speak with local amateur paleontologists about their collections and their work.
