Dedication Ceremony for Locomotives

New Locomotive on Display on Van Horne

On June 23rd, 2015 we had a ceremony for the gifting of the FA-2 locomotives 4090 and 4069 after the completion of the “Paint the Train Project” done by the Sunrise Rotary Club.  The Sunrise Rotary Club generously donated the completed locomotive to the museum where it now sits next to our historic Elko Train Station. Next to the locomotive, a historic panel explains a brief history and provides insight into what makes these CPR locomotives stand out from others.
