Winter Day Camp – Drama Rama: Theatre Arts

January 16, 2026 @ 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

The history of theatre began with simple storytelling and rituals that were part of everyday life in early communities. These activities were not just for entertainment; they played a crucial role in connecting people with each other. We will answer questions like, how did the Ktunaxa and early settlers use Theatre Arts in their culture? The Ktunaxa have a unique tradition of oral storytelling that shares their history and keeps their language alive.

Theatre is a gateway to creativity, exposing children to rich and imaginative storytelling. Performing can help children step out of their comfort zones, boost confidence and discover their unique voices! We will look at how to develop story arcs through puppet theatre. We will also be having an improve workshop to introduce performance arts by local drama professional, Lisa from Mountain Mayhem Fun & Games Company! You will not want to miss the fun!
