Join us in the beautiful Royal Alexandra Hall for an Ed Talk with Senior Supervisor, Maintenance and Projects, Ryan Peterson, and Social Performance Coordinator, Graham Knipfel, of Teck Legacy Properties. The Sullivan Mine in Kimberley, BC, was a lead, zinc, and silver mine that operated from 1909-2001. Since closure, Kimberley has transitioned from a mining community to a booming tourist destination. This Ed Talk will share the history of the Sullivan Mine, closure and reclamation initiatives, and provide information on ongoing water management and treatment on site.
