Cranbrook Over Time (Grade 1-3)

Program Details: 45 minutes

This is a teacher-guided program inside the museum which explores 500 million years of history of the land we call Cranbrook. We provide all the materials for our activity “Cranbrook Time Travel”. The lesson will take place in five distinct parts of our exhibition space and lead the group through object-based activities.

Big idea:

We shape the environment and the environment shapes how we live.

Students will find fossils and imagine what life would be like when Cranbrook was completely under water, they will identify animals based on riddles, and find objects in the displays used for important jobs in the community. Finally, students will get to share their ideas about life in Cranbrook today.
